Focus

This is exactly what happens
when I stumble and my breath flattens
as I’m trying too hard and focus on all the rumble outside
instead of trusting myself and in me glowing so bright.
Stretching to reach and getting rid of this ache
flexing and bending – slowely releasing the brake.

Safely wrapped and softly trapped –
as my nerves compel me and I’m breathing out
cause my lungs were never in doubt
how they may master their task of inhaling—
already lost if you focus on failing….
steady and calm and breathing in deep
finally free , even more vivid and deeper
every gasp just for one moment to keep
cause then letting go is what will give
enough space for another new breather.
